A man who was killed after punching his sister and attacking a Bexar County deputy was identified Tuesday.
Ryan Thomas Stanush, 32, who was killed as Bexar County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance, had a history of violence and was on probation for manslaughter.A man who punched his sister and assaulted authorities before a Bexar County deputy fatally shot him Saturday morning has been identified as someone with a history of violence, including manslaughter.about 7:30 a.m. in the 8700 block of Versant Bluff, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
When a deputy arrived, Stanush assaulted him, Salazar said. The deputy used a stun gun with no success on Stanush, who then began swinging at the deputy, possibly armed with a knife. The deputy fired at least two shots at Stanush, killing him. The deputy had two knife wounds to his face, as well as an injury from being struck. One of Stanush’s siblings also had facial injuries.in the death of English teacher Dorinda Ma of Philadelphia. Ma was 25 years old when Stanush, who was reportedly her boyfriend, beat her to death in December 2018 in Converse.
