Grubb will serve as offensive coordinator for the Crimson Tide. During the 2024-25 season, the Seahawks secured the fifth-highest ranking in the NFL for passing yards with 4,379, with Geno Smith contributing 4,320 yards. Smith, in his 11th season, achieved career highs in yards, completions (407), and completion percentage (70.4), while racking up 21 passing touchdowns, second highest in his career. Smith's impressive performance under Grubb's guidance led to setting single-season franchise records for passing yards, completions, and completion percentage. Smith's primary target, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, led Seattle and tied for ninth in the NFL with 100 receptions for 1,130 yards and six touchdowns. The 100 receptions matched Seattle's single-season high mark.
