Ryan Day said the College Football Playoff selection committee should examine Ohio State's 'full body of work' at the end of the season.
The final rankings that set the postseason are released on Dec. 4 following the weekend of conference championship games.
The scenario for the Buckeyes, among the nation’s highest-scoring offenses, to break into the playoff is not a far-fetched one.The number of unbeaten teams left for the committee to consider is dwindling. Only three were poised to be without a loss by the end of Saturday, a group including Georgia, Michigan and Texas Christian.
The SEC championship will be the one to watch closely in Columbus. Louisiana State, which was ranked fifth in the rankings this week, meets Georgia in the conference championship and would have a strong case for consideration if the two-loss Tigers upset the Bulldogs.
