No man has carved out more opportunities than Leeds United's Georginio Rutter this season, according to the statistics
Georginio Rutter missed what can only be described as a sitter on Saturday afternoon for Leeds United. In the Frenchman’s defence, the ball came to him at pace and it appeared to bounce just before it made connection with his right foot, but it was still harder to miss the opportunity than score from just about two yards out.
The forward was mesmerising at times, a real joy to behold, as he beat men with ease, found defence splitting passes and steered the Leeds attack into what was another dominant performance. He was everywhere as he drifted away from his number nine role to pick the ball up in his own half and on both edges and he consistently came up with significant moments in the game.
Opta statistician Jonny Cooper adds that his 21 chances created since the start of September trumps anyone playing league football in England, too. Indeed, Rutter is averaging an average of 2.7 key passes per game, which is why he has three assists and an expected assist tally of 3.44 so far.
