Austin-area singer-songwriter Ruthie Foster won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album for her album, Healing Time. This was her fifth Grammy nomination. "This album is really different from the other ones," said Foster when she spoke with CBS Austin in February 2024. Her band wrote for the album, contributing songs and initially recording in their home studios during the pandemic lockdown.Foster was inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame at an awards show in Austin on February 24, 2024.

Beyonce also took home three awards at the annual award show, pushing her record career total to 35. She became the first Black woman in more than 50 years to win a Grammy for country music.
