Glens beat then-leaders Shotts and Petershill to go top of the table with a 100 per cent record so far
Rutherglen Glencairn gaffer Joe Pryce praised his players after they knocked Shotts Bon Accord off the top of the table last midweek and backed that up with a thumping 5-1 win over Petershill.
He said: “The first half was a bit scrappy, I think Petershill had more territory and possession, but in the second half we were more like ourselves. “Before then, that game could have swung either way and we’re just happy that it went in our direction.” “To be fair to Shotts, we knew they were going to come out in the second half and have a wee go at us, but we were strong and they never really troubled our goalkeeper that much.
