On Saturday May 25, it was confirmed that the TV couple had split after 14 years of marriage and more than 20 years together. In a statement, a spokesperson for Ruth, 64, and Eamonn, 64, said: ‘Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.
’ Eamonn has praised his wife for her support, saying she’s ‘indebted to her’ Eamonn also opened up about the toll his poor health has take last year, saying: ‘I get resentful that I’m not the way I used to be but I just get on with it.’ He spoke about how ‘trying hard’ to get back on his feet and heaped praise on his wife of 14 years Ruth for her unwavering support. He added to The Mirror: ‘I work hard at trying to walk.
