in-person team activities after six members tested positive for COVID-19 in its latest testing cycle, the school announced in a statement Saturday.
The entire program will be quarantined and"'will work diligently with Rutgers medical experts, and state and local officials to determine next steps," according to the statement. The Scarlet Knights began returning to campus on June 15 for voluntary workouts amid a series of strict protocols and procedure. Two members of the program tested positive during the first round of testing — one of the members hadn't yet returned to campus.
In its statement Saturday, Rutgers said it had previously experienced a total of four positive tests before the six cases were discovered in the latest round of testing.
