Despite a career-high 39-point performance from freshman phenom, Rutgers falls to Indiana, dropping to 0-4 in Quadrant 1 games.

freshmen phenoms had the best game of his young career in a big spot, but without his co-star, he could not carryThe Scarlet Knights (8-6, 1-2) fall to 0-4 in Quadrant 1 games, a key metric for NCAA Tournament consideration, and 1-6 in games played outside of Piscataway this winter after another missed opportunity to bolster their lackluster postseason résumé.

Bailey finished with a career-high 39 points on 16-of-29 shooting, eight rebounds and four blocks in an all-time performance, carrying Rutgers as far as he could without Harper, who. It made up for its misses by scoring 34 second-chance points off of 18 offensive rebounds, 11 points on 11 Rutgers turnovers and 30 points in the paint despite going 8-of-23 (33.3%) on layups. Meanwhile, Rutgers shot 44.3% from the floor (27-of-61), 28.6% on threes (6-of-21) and 60.9% on free throws (14-of-23). The hosts got off to an early advantage, going up 16-10 after five minute
