Two people were injured in the explosion, which was caused by a device equivalent to half a kilo of TNT, said Irina Volk, a spokesperson for the internal affairs ministry.after the blast that Andrei Torgashev, deputy chief of the army’s satellite communications centre, was severely wounded in the incident and his wife injured.reporting that the victim, who lost both feet in the blast, shared a first and last name with the officer and served in the army with a different unit.
Mr Torgashev told Russian state media he had watched news of the bombing at work. “I don’t even live in that neighbourhood. I live in a completely different area,” the officer said, adding that his morning “went as usual. I got up, I’m at work, I’m working.”“You do realise you’re calling at a bad time right now, I have important calls to make. I can’t say anything else.”Some outlets reported that the victim served in Russia’s GRU military intelligence agency.
