Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet with President Biden. Poland said it would stop providing weapons to Kyiv amid a mounting grain dispute.
Zelensky spoke with lawmakers including Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in separate meetings. McCarthy’s support is needed for Congress to move ahead with Biden’s funding request. The Republican leader told reporters that people had questions for Zelensky and concerns about “accountability.” He confirmed to The Washington Post that he rejected a request from Zelensky to address a joint meeting of Congress.
