President Biden on Wednesday assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United States would provide the military aid to help Ukraine succeed in its war with Russia. “We are staying with Ukraine as long as Ukraine is there,” Biden told Zelensky at a joint news conference at the White House. In his remarks, Zelensky thanked Biden and Congress for their support, praising Biden for rallying an international coalition against a “terrorist” Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a meeting Wednesday with the Defense Ministry, spoke of “new” Russian territories and claimed that what is happening in Ukraine “is not the result of our policies but the result of third countries.”
