Russia's defense ministry claimed the strike took place in the Donetsk People's Republic.
Russia has said it destroyed a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System in its latest claim of a successful strike against the weapon the U.S. has supplied Ukraine.
Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said that his country's forces had successfully struck the multi-rocket launch system which has allowed Ukraine to target Russian command centers and ammunition depots. "Around Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic , a HIMARS launcher and a warehouse with ammunition for it were destroyed," Konashenkov said in a video briefing on Saturday, according to state news agency Tass.
He said that strikes"by operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery on military facilities on the territory of Ukraine continue."
