The EU on Friday added eight more Russians to its sanctions list over a stand-off between Russia and Ukraine in the Azov Sea, including senior security service officials and military commanders that the EU accuses of preventing Ukrainian ships from reaching port. “The Russian side will not leave this unfriendly action by the European Union unanswered,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.
“The EU’s claim that Russia ‘broke international law’ and used unjustified force does not correspond with reality at all,” the ministry said.

Russia switching online tactics for 2020 U.S. election: reportRussian internet trolls have apparently switched strategies in the runup to the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Bloomberg News reported Sunday. Cybersecurity experts told Bloomberg that instead of creating fake news, the phony accounts have been building up their follower numbers, apparently aiming to become more influential opinion-makers. "That creates an opportunity for them to hide behind somebody else," a FireEye executive told Bloomberg.
