Ukraine's tally of Russian troops lost since the beginning of its invasion in February 2022 has surpassed 250,000.
The number of Russian troops killed since the start of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine has passed 250,000, according to the Ukrainian armed forces.
But if going by Ukraine's data, Russia hit the 250,000 milestone as Putin's forces continue to struggle against Ukraine's General Staff on August 2 reported Russian forces had failed in its attempts to take positions around the village of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region as well as in the Bakhmut direction.
