Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies has assured devoted Whovians that the beloved series will remain the same despite its co-production with Disney Plus.
In October 2022, it was announced that BBC and Disney had come together to deliver new seasons of the show to audiences outside of the UK and Ireland on the streaming platform.
A partnership spanning more than five decades, the BBC had a long-standing deal with the Australian public broadcaster ABC that enabled fans to watch the sci-fi for free.over parts of the deal and hailed the move ‘the end of an era’.
