Russell Crowe in Unhinged
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Russell Crowe is set to reunite with his Unhinged director for an upcoming crime thriller titled Bear Country. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Australian actor rose to stardom and garnered acclaim for his performances in The Insider, Gladiator, and A Beautiful Mind, all three of which he was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role, winning the Academy Award for Ridley Scott's historical epic.
After the great experience we shared on Unhinged , I’d been looking for another project with Russell – one that would allow him to show more of what so many people loved so much about Jackson Healy in The Nice Guys – and we both immediately knew that Bear Country was the one. Bear Country represents a reunion between Crowe and Borte after Unhinged. The action thriller follows Crowe as a mentally ill man who terrorizes a young woman after a road rage incident, with the Unhinged cast also including Caren Pistorius, Gabriel Bateman, and Jimmi Simpson. Overall, Unhinged's reviews were mixed, with many critics praising Crowe's performance, but criticizing the film for not fully capitalizing on its premise.
