Russell Crowe is attempting to sell his high-end Sydney wharf apartment at a reduced price, according to a source. The 60-year-old actor originally listed the fourth-level 1000sqm north-facing apartment at the restricted end of the landmark Finger Wharf in Woolloomooloo for $42 million to $50 million. However, there's now talk among buyers' agents that Crowe has revised the price range down to between $42 million and $45 million.
The property, known for its 11 bedrooms and uninterrupted harbor views, was purchased by Crowe from Nutrimetics founders Imelda and Bill Roche for $14.35 million in 2003, marking the highest apartment sale in Sydney at the time. Crowe has not renovated the apartment in nearly a decade, potentially necessitating updates for the new owners. He previously listed the apartment for up to $30 million but removed it from the market when he did not receive the desired price. Crowe is reportedly selling the property to spend more time at his farm north of Coffs Harbour and possibly retire from acting
