It follows Channel 4 and BBC earlier this week removing TV and audio shows featuring Brand, the comedian YouTube videos losing their monetization ability, his live tour being put on hold and new probes into his behavior being launched.
This is all in response to the Channel 4, The Times, and The Sunday Times investigation, in which Brand was accused of rape and sexual abuse by multiple women between 2006 and 2013. The removed New York special was taped during that period. Brand has denied the allegations.comedy special, a Netflix original which debuted in 2018. Netflix in the past has refused to remove content, including comedy specials, over backlash, and I hear that will likely be the case again this time.
