RuPaul's Drag Race season 17 is serving up drama and sequins with eliminations and the introduction of the Badonka Dunk Tank twist. Eliminated queens have a chance to save another queen from elimination by pulling a lever that sends a judge into the tank.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 17 has been serving up drama and sequins, with several queens already exiting the competition. The season kicked off with a bang, introducing 14 talented queens vying for the crown. The premiere episode featured a talent show, where queens showcased their skills and faced judgement from their fellow competitors.

One of the most talked-about elements of the season so far has been the Badonka Dunk Tank twist, which allowed eliminated queens to potentially save another queen from elimination. The twist saw Michelle Visage taking a dip in the tank after a queen pulled a lever, sending shockwaves through the Werk Room. The first queen to experience the Badonka Dunk Tank was Lana Ja'Rae, who was eliminated after a lip-sync battle against fellow queen, Jackie. The show's producers have been keeping the eliminated queens involved in the competition, tasking them with choosing to pull one of 10 levers on the Main Stage. Two of the levers would send a judge, in a hilarious twist, plunging into the Badonka Dunk Tank. The Badonka Dunk Tank twist provided a unique opportunity for eliminated queens to make their mark on the competition, even after exiting. Despite facing elimination, Lana Ja'Rae spoke about the experience, stating, 'I honestly felt so ugly. I know how drag queens are. I know queens all over the world are going to read me. I felt embarrassed, I felt ugly, I felt disgusting, I felt like a failure, which is one of my worst fears in life. In that moment, my worst fear came true: I was ugly, my drag was busted, I failed, so all of that came together. My situation back home is not good either, so I felt like, wow, am I really about to leave back to that? What did I do here? I just crashed down that day, so I had to cover my face while crying, because I get embarrassed when I cry. Imagine having a panic attack in public, in front of RuPaul. That’s how I felt.' Lana Ja'Rae's emotional response to the Badonka Dunk Tank experience highlighted the high stakes and pressure faced by the queens on the show
