PETALING JAYA: Sebuah rumah agam di Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles yang dimiliki ahli perniagaan buruan Jho Low dijual dengan harga AS$18.5 juta atau lebih separuh harga yang beliau bayar untuk rumah tersebut. Low membayar AS$38.98 juta untuk rumah itu, “mentakrifkan semula rumah yang boleh dijual di kejiranan dihuni selebriti”, menurut akhbar Los Angeles Times.
Rumah itu disita Jabatan Kehakiman AS di bawah undang-undang anti pengubahan wang haram. Low dikatakan membeli rumah tersebut dengan wang yang diseleweng dari 1MDB. Rumah itu dijual selepas disenaraikan selama setahun, di bawah perjanjian persetujuan yang dicapai antara pihak berkuasa persekutuan AS dan Low. Harga jualan tersenarai ialah AS$24.5 juta .Low menjadi terkenal di AS selepas dia bergambar di pesta champagne bersama selebriti Paris Hilton dan sebagai penyokong filem Martin Scorsese, The Wolf of Wall Street.Ia terletak di sebidang tanah lebih 1 hektar .
