Rudy Giuliani is fighting to keep a car once owned by Hollywood star Lauren Bacall from being sold to help pay for his $148 million defamation case.In his latest court filing, the former New York mayor says the 1980 Mercedes-Benz SL500 should be considered a collectible and outside the reach of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, a mother and daughter he wrongly accused of rigging the 2024 presidential election.'Some of the property can be characterized as 'collectibles.
Circuit rules on Defendant's expedited appeal,' Caruso wrote.Giuliani previously told a bankruptcy court that he is emotionally attached to the Mercedes.'It makes me feel like I'm Humphrey Bogart,' Giuliani said, referring to Lauren Bacall's husband and co-star.He told the court he paid $20,000 for it.
