Former Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan has offered his view on Bruno Fernandes under Ruben Amorim
Mike Phelan believes Bruno Fernandes ' position at Manchester United will be secure under Ruben Amorim .
But Fernandes, a former Sporting player, lavished praise on Amorim just weeks ago. The Sporting manager has won two league titles as well as several other major trophies in Portugal. "I don't think the manager had Bruno when he was taken from Sporting - there might have been a bit of a crossover maybe, a week or so - but Bruno will definitely know him," he told talkSPORT.
"Bruno's been probably, arguably, one of Man United's most consistent performers. This season he's certainly not gone in as he would have liked or the team would have liked, but again, he's found his feet last night, looked different, contributed with goals. He's got his goal now and we might see a different Bruno.”
