A fire that hit a rubber products factory in Valenzuela City on Wednesday was finally put out after almost two days.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire, which hit the factory on P. Santiago St. in Viente Riales, was raised to first alarm at around 3:21 p.m. It went up to second alarm at 3:25 p.m.It was declared under control at around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15.
Fire Marshal Annamei Legaste of the Valenzuela City Fire Station said that after almost two days, the fire was extinguished at around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday. Legaste said firefighters had a difficult time putting out the fire out as some of the products inside the factory such as automotive rubber parts and rubber mats were made of combustible materials.
She said the fire caused an estimated P45 million damage to property. No one was hurt during the incident.
