👉 The Royal Family are set to put on a united front at Kate’s carol service that clashes with Harry and Meghan’s Netflix series
Supported by the Royal Foundation, the concert is being held to “recognise the selfless efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, and celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring”.
The Princess of Wales played the piano in public for the first time for last year’s concert, performing with the singer-songwriter, Tom Walker, at the Westminster Abbey service. This year, the concert will be dedicated to “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the values Her Majesty demonstrated throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassions and support for others”.
The concert will feature special musical performances by guests including Craig David, Samantha Barks, as well as a duet by Alfie Boe and the former Spice Girl, Melanie C. Readings will be delivered by speakers including the Prince of Wales, Dame Kristin Scott Thomas, Hugh Bonneville and Kadeena Cox.The event will be broadcast as part ofon ITV1 on Christmas Eve. The programme will be narrated by Catherine Zeta-Jones.
