Festival Bunga dan Taman Diraja Putrajaya yang akan diadakan di Persisiran Tasik, Presint 2 di sini pada 22 Ogos hingga 1 Sept ini menyasarkan kehadiran lebih sejuta pengunjung.
“Festival ini juga akan mempamerkan lebih 700,000 bunga-bungaan dan tumbuh-tumbuhan pelbagai warna dan kegunaan yang saya percaya pasti ada diantaranya tidak pernah kita lihat sebelum ini. Beliau berkata penganjuran festival itu bertepatan dengan matlamat perancangan dan pembangunan pusat pentadbiran kerajaan Persekutuan yang berkonsepkan ‘intelligent garden city’ dengan menggabungkan elemen moden, pintar dan alam semula jadi.
Beliau berkata penganjuran festival itu juga amat bertepatan dengan semangat meraikan Bulan Kebangsaan kerana Putrajaya sekali lagi menjadi tuan rumah sambutan Hari Kebangsaan pada 31 Ogos ini.
