Royal family member's surprise love of rap music: 'I'll listen to anything'
Katharine, The Duchess of Kent, has revealed her fondness for rap music, with Eminem and Ice Cube among her favourite artists in the genre.
Katharine first hinted at her eclectic music tastes in a 2005 BBC Radio 3 interview, during which she cited rap music and the singer-songwriter Dido as her favourites. She also gave piano lessons in a rented studio flat near her official residence at Kensington Palace. She served as the president of the Royal Northern College of Music, and was the director of National Foundation for Youth Music from 1999 to 2007, the Guardian reports.
