Cornwall's biggest annual event is set to attract thousands of visitors over three days.
The Royal Cornwall Show is an event to be proud of, its show secretary has said as the event began earlier.
Chris Riddle has been the event's show secretary for 35 years, and this year will be his last time as showrunner. His successor Mark Stoddart had been society manager at the Yorkshire Agricultural Society for more than 18 years."I'm looking forward to meeting all the people, shows like this don't exist without the volunteers and the staff... that's the heart and soul of the show."Traffic warningPolice have reminded motorists there could be delays on local roads due to the volume of people attending the event.
