Revealed: The cost of Preston Guild Hall standing empty and the path to re-openingThe route for a giant electrical transformer from the Docks to Penwortham has been confirmed.
National Grid are working with Preston Police and Preston City Council on the movement of the transformer which cannot go faster than 15mph.Going from the Marina into Lockside Road and then into Chain Caul WayIt continues down Strand Road before turning right onto the A59 Liverpool Road A spokesperson for the National Grid said: “We’ve carefully planned the route to minimise disruption. You may however need to allow extra time for any journeys during this time or park in a different location to usual.
