Along with snow over the passes, the lowland rain could create spotty travel issues by the end of the seven day forecast.

Today in Seattle, we’re forecasting cloudy skies, mild temperatures and isolated to scattered showers. At times, the rain could be locally heavy. Driving could be tricky where these downpours develop. By around 7-8 tonight, most of the rain will track into Canada, leaving Western Washington drier.Highs this afternoon will be mild - about ten degrees above average in the Seattle area.Tomorrow and Sunday will feature rounds of rain.

With the parade of weather systems and steady rain on a regular basis, river flooding and landslides could develop by the middle to end of next week. In the short-term, a Flood Warning remains in effect for the Skokomish River in Mason County. Over the South Washington Coast, a High Surf Advisory is posted from tomorrow through Monday for large, breaking waves of 25 to 30 feet.
