The chances of Ross Ulbricht, the convicted founder of the darknet market website Silk Road, being pardoned by United States President Donald Trump during his first week in office just went up by more than 16%.on an X post about placing the Silk Road founder’s pardon at the top of the president’s executive order stack.
In 2013, U.S. authorities arrested Ulbricht on several charges, including running Silk Road, which facilitated sex trafficking and the sale of illegal drugs using bitcoin , money laundering, drug trafficking, and computer hacking. Activities on Silk Road led to the platform processing more than $1 billion in transactions.
