ROSE explains how her Grammy nominations feel like this important BLACKPINK moment in a new 'Call Her Daddy' interview clip exclusive to Billboard.

announced on Tuesday that the BLACKPINK singer is set to appear in a special episode of the podcast airing the next day, andROSÉ Reflects on Success of ‘APT.’ on Billboard No. 1s Livestream: ‘Never in a Million Years Would I Have Thought That This Would Happen’.

“That’s a big question!” the pop star laughed in response. She then went on to compare learning about her nods to a massive career moment involving BLACKPINK. “It feels like, I thought of this when you asked me about getting selected from YG at that open audition to fly to Korea … and it made me think, I think it’s the same feeling as this nomination,” ROSÉ shared, recalling how she was selected to be part of the global pop group that would go on to earn ahits to date, since the quartet — which also includes JENNIE, LISA and JISOO — debuted in 2016. “I remember when that happened, it was like, I never thought that would happen. I never thought I would ever fly to Korea and live in that city — ever!” The “On the Ground” singer reflected on how, growing in New Zealand and Australia, she had always dreamed about one day living in Asia and how much fun and different it would be to follow her big dreams. “This Grammy nomination, it feels like, ‘Oh my gosh! I never thought that would be possible! Like, yes, BLACKPINK … and we’re getting so much love and I’m so grateful for that, and it’s so exciting, but that I didn’t think would be a possibility, but I feel like quite similar,” she gushed. “So it’s like the second chapter of my life, like, ‘Oh my gosh!'”, titled “Alex Cooper Presents: A Grammy’s Special,” will show Cooper sitting down with ROSÉ in various locations in Asia, including a cafe in Seoul, the singer’s recording studio, a karaoke stall, a lounge in Tokyo and more.
