its newest Viva Glam Ambassador,The Spanish award-winning superstar worked closely with the makeup brand to create a new lip color that not only celebrates the 26th anniversary of Viva Glam but also raises awareness and supports the future and equal rights of women, girls, the LGBTQ+ community, and those affected with HIV/AIDS.
“It’s an honor to be the face of VIVA GLAM 26 and to champion a cause that is inclusive, supports individuality and gives back 100%,” says Rosalía when asked about becoming our newest M∙A∙Ctivist. Her flamenco, pop-urban and electronic fusions, in combination with her unique, passionate and fierce personality, inspired the newest lip color in the M.A.C. family coined VG26. The limited-edition shade is a matte bright orangey-red color.
“The incredible charisma, energy, and strength of Rosalía is the perfect incarnation of this vibrant, saturated red,” Baltasar González Pinel, Director of Makeup Artistry, says. “Taking its roots in flamenco, Rosalía’s art mixes genres and emotions — it takes risks, it is full of generosity, it is pure brilliance.”
Ever since its inception in 1994, M.A.C. Viva Glam has raised over $500 million globally. Selling at the retail price of $19, every purchase of the Rosalia-inspired lipstick will be donated to the M∙A∙C Viva Glam fund.
