Rori Harmon's double-double paces No. 20 Texas women to win over Texas Tech
Cypress Creek graduate Rori Harmon had a double-double to help Texas defeat Texas Tech on Wednesday in Austin.AUSTIN — Rori Harmon had a double-double and Shaylee Gonzales scored 25 points as No. 20 Texas defeated Texas Tech 80-71 on Wednesday night.
DeYona Gaston scored 16 points and Harmon, a Cypress Creek graduate, had 15 with 10 assists for Texas.For three quarters the game was about the Texas defense. The Longhorns held Texas Tech to 3-of-8 shooting and eight points in the first quarter, taking a 17-8 lead. It was 38-27 at the half and 55-39 after three quarters.
