Cristiano Ronaldo has taken credit for the rise in Saudi Arabian football, saying his arrival 'opened a box'.before the World Cup in Qatar last year.Since then the eyes of the world have been on the Saudi Pro LeagueSince then, the football world has been watching Ronaldo in action as he shines a light on the Saudi Pro League and the riches that it has to offer.
Since then, a number of top-level players have been linked with a move there, including N'Golo Kante, Wilfried Zaha and Karim Benzema who joined Al Ittihad in a blockbuster deal earlier this week.was also heavily linked with a move, however the Argentine superstar opted to join MLS side Inter Miami instead.
Despite Messi opting against the move, Ronaldo believe that his arrival has meant a huge step forward for a league that the Portuguese star believes will grow in importance as the years go on.
