The Florida governor, once an ally to Libs of TikTok, accused the social media account of “lying” for clicks over a post that alleged the state provided IDs to undocumented immigrants.
The criticism was not well received. “The Governor who I've only ever congratulated for his wins and have never attacked, is publicly attacking me calling me a liar and a grifter,” wrote Libs of TikTok, adding, “I think DeSantis is a good Governor, have publicly said this, and still stand by it. This personal attack from him is disappointing.” The exchange is indeed a significant departure from the congenial relationship DeSantis had with Libs of TikTok a little over a year ago.
Through her Libs of TikTok account, Raichik has become something of an avatar for the cultural crusade targeting LGBTQ+ communities and public educators that DeSantis rode to national prominence.
