He ran against Romney in the 2012 race for the GOP presidential nomination — touting his “9-9-9” economic plan — before beingAxios reported on Thursday that Trump is expected to nominate Cain for the position.Sign Up
Trump has also said he intends to nominate another unorthodox pick, conservative economist Stephen Moore, to the Board, and Romney declined to endorse or oppose him.
