Capital UK DJ Roman Kemp has announced he's quitting his hit Breakfast show before Easter, and the station have confirmed it will announce his replacement 'very soon'
Capital UK's Roman Kemp, 31, has announced he's stepping down from the helm of his hit Capital Breakfast show, revealing he'll be leaving before Easter.
The star, who is the son of actor and Spandau Ballet singer Martin Kemp, said he would find the next few weeks (so tough", as he described his work team as "my family". He joined the radio station in 2014, before working on the 7 to 10pm The Capital Evening Show. In 2017, he stepped up to host the flagship Capital Breakfast slot.
He continued: "The next couple of weeks as I kind of approach the end of my time here on Capital, it’s going to be so tough. I love this place so much, I love it. I love the station, I love everything about it, Capital is my family. And I also love the connection that you and I, the listeners, have built together. It’s changed. I know that it started out as me being just Martin Kemp’s son, I hope that now you can call me your friend.
