Cathay Pacific has identified an engine component failure in 15 of its A350 aircraft, a long-range, wide-body which uses Rolls-Royce engines.
Rolls-Royce shares were 4.5% higher Tuesday morning after Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific said issues identified in the British manufacturer's Trent XWB-97 engines could be resolved by Sept. 7.
Details on cancellations up to Sept. 7 will be released by 2 p.m. local time Wednesday, the company added.
