Many here in the town of Rockport spent the day boarding up their windows and doors. We saw plenty of trucks with plywood while driving into town yesterday. Of course people were filling up their cars with gas, and from what we could tell there was no shortage of gas. But for the most part people were taking the precautions they thought were necessary, whether they were staying here to ride out the storm, or skipping town.
Leanna Reininger, from Rockport is staying in town and told us, “We are just keeping a close eye on it. My husband is actually a pastor in town. So we have an entire church that is waiting to see what we are going to do. I’m actually in the process of getting food for the guys that are sandbagging the church because we are two blocks from the water.
