The Rockets, Curtis"50 Cent" Jackson's G-Unity Foundation and Kroger gave away Thanksgiving meals to 1,000 needy families Tuesday at Toyota CenterAs the Rockets practiced Tuesday, there was a line circling Toyota Center for a Thanksgiving meal distribution, an event that the Rockets, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unity Foundation and Kroger held for 1,000 families in need.
“It means a lot,” Silas said. “One of my messages to the guys was, “How blessed are we to be out here for practice and there are people lining up around the building just trying to get a free meal for Thanksgiving. And the blessing that we have, we have to pass along.’
