The Rockets’ search for their first win of 2023 will continue with a home and home against the Timberwolves.
The pursuit of the Rockets’ first 2023 win will move to consecutive games against one of the opponents in the 12-game losing streak, with the home and home against the Timberwolves to begin Saturday in Minneapolis.
Though this season’s losses to the Timberwolves do not rank as the Rockets’ worsts, they were low points for very different reasons. The Timberwolves scored easily on the way to a 24-point lead in Target Center, and the Rockets shot horribly to blow a 20-point lead in the loss at Toyota Center. Even with Gobert in position to defend the rim, the Timberwolves packed the paint, confident that the Rockets would miss the shots that had built a 20-point lead. They were right.
