Houston Rockets won the game in double overtime 132-123.Finally, the Rockets did what they could not for so long. They made the shots they had missed with the win within reach, that James Harden had missed when looking again and again for the dagger, that they had to make to get the win.

Embiid led the Sixers with 39 points but fouled out in the first overtime. Harden had 21 points but made just 4 of 19 shots. The Sixers were within three after a Harden 3-pointer. But once again, the Rockets got the 3-pointer they had spent the second half and the first overtime searching for. Both teams had chances to win much earlier. After Green drove on Embiid, finishing through a foul for a three-point play and a three-point Rockets lead with 1:48 left in regulation, Harden looked to take over.

The Rockets had some good opportunities in overtime, too. After Sengun scored inside on a slick dish from Green, Smith made one of three free throws and Sengun missed on a post-up at the rim.Smith and the Sixers' De’Anthony Melton traded 3s, but Porter missed a wild drive and Sengun turned the ball over.

Porter went at Embiid, drawing Embiid’s sixth foul with 2.9 seconds left. Porter made his first free throw but missed the second. Sengun had another tip roll out. The Sixers called their last timeout with 1.2 seconds left. He did not have a large part in the Rockets' offense in those closing minutes, but Embiid did not score again until overtime, with Smith coming over to block his drive as the Rockets had shifted to double-teaming the Sixers star. They say these things even out
