The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hopes to break ground by late this summer or early fall on a $100 million expansion and renovation that riffs on the triangular forms of the city’s iconic lakefront landmark.

CLEVELAND, Ohio —

The Rock Hall’s plans are evolving at a time in which the City of Cleveland is exploring concepts in a separate planning process to better connect downtown to the lakefront and attractions including FirstEnergy Stadium, home of the NFL Browns. “We’ve made do,’' Harris said. “Mixing live concert sound in a glass pyramid has always been a bit of a challenge.”

The architects of record for the project are from Robert P. Madison International, of Cleveland, and the Cleveland office of DLR Group. Osborn Engineering of Cleveland is also serving the project, as is James Corner Field Operations, the landscape firm that designed the $50 million renovation of Public Square completed in 2016.
