SoCal indie label Hopeless Records is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a traveling exhibit that will stop at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this weekend. There will also be a celebration on Saturday, Aug. 24, featuring live bands and the grand opening of the permanent Hopeless Records exhibit at the museum.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be celebrating the spirit of independent record labels and the bands and fans they serve this weekend with the opening of a new exhibit dedicated toTo mark the big occasion, on Saturday, August 24, The Rock Hall and Hopeless Records will host a grand opening of the Rock Hall’s permanentexhibit in the main exhibition hall along with a visit from the indie label’s traveling “Hopeless Museum,” which contains more than 1,000 artifacts.
A $5 ticket will buy access to the Rock Hall plaza to view the musical performances but does not include museum admission. A $35 “Event-Plus” ticket package includes plaza access for the musical performances and general museum admission to tour the Hopeless Museum exhibit and the Rock Hall’s Hopeless display. A $45 Hopeless Bundle offers access to all of the above, a swag pack plus exclusive entry to the Shea panel discussion.

The band then dared Posen to release a vinyl 7” single. Posen has retinitis pigmentosa, an eye condition that left him legally blind in one eye and had realized that filmmaking was likely not going to pan out as a long-term career choice.
He also loves the mouse pad the label made in the ’90s with a bar code for quick ordering, “that was innovative at the time,” he recalled.
