He had reportedly been battling health issues for some time.
John Mayall, a legendary British blues musician who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, has died.“John Mayall passed away peacefully in his California home yesterday, July 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family,” the post read. “Health issues that forced John to end his epic touring career have finally led to peace for one of this world’s greatest road warriors.
While he helped bring those guys along, Billboard noted that Mayall never quite got the same level of celebrity that they died.“I’ve never had a hit record, I never won a Grammy Award, and Rolling Stone has never done a piece about me,” he reportedly said. “I’m still an underground performer.”If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
