The institution will celebrate the intersection of rock and country music with a special concert at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on March 1.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The bond between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and country music has always been a strong one. The Rock Hall, after all, counts Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams among its inductees.
Hosted by guitarist and songwriter Charlie Worsham, the “Rock the Ryman” lineup will feature The War and Treaty, Gavin DeGraw and Maddie & Tae with more announcements coming. Each artist will perform two or three songs by Rock Hall inductees who have served as influences and had an impact on their careers.
Open in 1892, Ryman Auditorium is best known as the former home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-1974. Last year, the Rock Hall designated it as a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark. Inductees such as Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and countless others have graced its stage over the years. “Rock Hall at the Ryman,” an exhibition that opened at the venue back in November, showcases memorabilia from some of those performances..
