Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show was pulled from ABC “indefinitely” Wednesday after he made controversial comments about the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The late-night comic, 57, came under fire after he claimed the “MAGA gang” was trying to score political points off Kirk’s savage public assassination.

The actress, 59, admitted that fans of the beloved 1987 film, “ The Princess Bride ,” shouldn’t hold their breath for a sequel. “Sometime after we hit the 30-year mark, the cast did a Zoom call, and a couple of actors were like, ‘We’ve been asked if we’ll do a sequel,’ and I was like, ‘Well, a lot of us are going to be in a wheelchair,'” Wright recalled toThe family comedy will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027.

“The Princess Bride” is based on the William Goldman novel of the same name and sees a fairy tale adventure about a beautiful young woman, Princess Buttercup , and her true love, Westley .We laughed so hard making that movie; we’d have to cut camera and start over again because it was such a giggle-fest,” she confessed to the outlet. “We took over the hotel, and Cary and I and Rob Reiner and Christopher Guest would all have a potluck dinner. It was going home with people you had fun with to play music, eat good food and commune.” Wright was 21 in the film, and will turn 60 next April — but told AARP’s Movies for Grownups, “I don’t see it as the end of an era.” “It’s just another number that’s a little bit bigger. It hasn’t shifted me in any way because I feel like I did that shift when I was 50, where I said, ‘I’m going to do it my way,'” she explained.“I’m such a romantic,” Wright gushed. “You can go through tumultuous, distressing relationships, but we rebound, don’t we? Our hearts rebound with a belief that it’s still there and it can be achieved and how wonderful when it comes again.” The Golden Globe Award was married to Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988, and Sean Penn from 1996 until 2010.Wright and Penn share two kids: daughter Dylan, 34, and son Hopper, 32. Most recently, she was married to Clement Giraudet from 2018 until 2022.“I don’t want to worry anymore,” Wright said. “I don’t want to doubt, I don’t want to suspect. I don’t want all those things that we did in our 20s. I can’t imagine feeling again what I felt then, which was jealous, suspicious. You grow out of it like you grow out of a pair of pants.”Meanwhile, the “Girlfriend” star’s kids have followed in both of their parents’ footsteps – something Wright didn’t imagine happening. “My kids were on film sets their whole lives, and they said from a very young age, ‘I’ll never be an actor. I would never be in this business,'” she revealed. “And sure enough, they’re both actors now, and they’re both really good.”“My daughter, Dylan, worked with her dad in ‘Flag Day,’ and Hopper and I did a movie together called ‘Devil’s Peak,'” recalled Wright. “I thought it would be uncomfortable to work together, but it felt so natural! I played a crackhead, and he was directing me because he’s seen more of that. He was coaching me!” Despite Wright not seeing a future with a “Princess Bride” reboot, the cast still talks about the film decades later. The actor starred as the iconic Spanish fencer Inigo and said fans still recite his character’s lines to him “pretty much on a daily basis.”In “The Princess Bride,” Inigo is on a revenge quest to avenge his father, and famously repeats, “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die,” to Count Rugen, known as the “six-fingered man” and played by Guest, 77. “I can’t get over that I got to be that guy in that movie. How does that happen? I don’t know how it happens!” Grammy-winning songwriter died with wife, her daughter — who just celebrated birthday — in private plane crashAlabama Barker seemingly confirms pregnancy rumors with heartbreaking since-deleted TikTok
