Liverpool currently sit fourth in the Premier League table after their spirited victory at Newcastle United
Andy Robertson has acknowledged Darwin Nunez is unlikely to be pleased with his lack of starts for Liverpool, though may have just given Jurgen Klopp a selection dilemma after bagging a brace against Newcastle United.
The Uruguayan will now hope this can prove to be a turning point in his career at the club as he searches for a more significant role in the side. Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo will have other ideas, however, ensuring competition for places in attack is likely to remain fierce over the course of the campaign.
"I heard Michael [Owen] saying [Nunez] probably isn't happy playing as many minutes this season and he is probably right," the Scotland international told Premier League Productions. "But it is about showing that attitude when you come to the pitch, scoring goals and giving the manager something to think about. Darwin has done that."
Hammering home the importance of their respective impacts on proceedings, Robertson stated: "That was the message at half-time, we're going to need every sub in there to be so ready to come onto the pitch.
