Robert Pattinson says the joke he made about not working out for TheBatman came back to haunt him. 'That really came back to haunt me. I just always think it’s really embarrassing to talk about how you’re working out...'
Robert Pattinson admits his joke about not working out in preparation for The Batman came back to haunt him in a big way. Barring no delays, Matt Reeves' The Batman is just under two months away from release. This is very exciting news, seeing as it was once scheduled to premiere in June 2021. The coronavirus pandemic forced Warner Bros. to push the film back considerably, but now it is slated to debut in March.
“That really came back to haunt me. I just always think it’s really embarrassing to talk about how you’re working out. I think it’s like an English thing. Unless you are in the most unbelievable shape, where people are just genuinely curious, going, ‘How have you achieved, like, physical perfection?’ or whatever. You’re playing Batman. You have to work out. I think I was doing the interview when I was in lockdown, as well, in England. … I was in a lower gear of working out.
